Step by step guide to Registering AVG 8
Load the AVG 8 User Interface
Double click on the AVG 8 icon in the system tray to load the AVG 8 User Interface
Select the License options
Double click on the License button to call up the AVG 8 License details.
Register your details with AVG
You will see your current license number, type and expiry date on this screen. Click on the Register button to register your details and obtain your full license code from AVG and get your full license period updated.
Register your details with AVG
Enter your personal details on the AVG website and make a note of the license number you get at the end of the process. Copy it into the clipboard as you will need it to complete your registration.
Activate your new license code
Once you have your new license code after registering with AVG you need to click on the Activate button in order to activate this new code and get your full license period. This button will be labelled Re-activate if you have already activated your copy (in our example).
Complete the process
Enter your new license number from the registration process at AVG and click on the Activate button.
Check your details
Once you have Activated your copy of AVG you will see the details of your full license, showing your new expiry date. All done! You can now close this window and the process is complete.
